Do you know that Replacements song? Not the one on Pleased To Meet Me. Westerberg never sings a song the same way twice, so the version on the official lp doesn’t even have the last line, ’til it’s over. Even though that’s the only thing that says what the song’s about.

That’s why this is called Can’t Hardly Wait.

They tried hard to say something true, I think. I think they were successful. They didn’t spell it out or try to sell it to you though. On the show, we try and play music like that. Whatever that means.

At this point though this site has been online for over a year and a half, and almost everything on it is me posting the song that was in my head when I woke up, if there was one.

Why? I don’t know. I just think it’s funny.

There are some stupid or mean record reviews too but if you don’t get it, that’s okay. I don’t really know what this site is for except it’s about music and I made it.

There used to be a long, confused, and super earnest introduction here about how I planned to say stuff. You know, deep stuff. Somehow you would know it was about music. I grew up in a time when there was some kind of rule about writing about music where you had to be an elitist dick, a raving maniac, or alienate anyone less alienated or knowledgeable about certain corners of pop.

I don’t like that kind of writing, so once I made the site, I decided not to do that.
